How Did I Start?
I grew up driving circle track go karts at age 8, and have been addicted every since.

The Best Track Day Experience
My first time at the Nürburgring!
We ran with a group of BMWs and got to learn the Nordschleife over the course of a few days. There is nothing else like it on Earth!
The Worst Experience
The first time I traveled to Sebring... I arrived at night and did not know about the mosquitos down there... parked in the grass and got eaten alive while trying to unload.
The next morning, during my first session on the track, I hit a bump in turn 17 and lost a filling in my tooth!!
Lesson learned - Soften the suspension for Sebring!
Advice for Newcomers
This is very rewarding hobby, but it is not without risk.
- Build up your pace over time, and just because you are fast doesn't mean you have the experience needed to control the car if something goes wrong.
- Be confident but stay within your limits.
- Listen to your instructor - they will guide you.
- There is plenty of time to get fast, but only one chance to build good habits from day 1.

I'm the Chief Driving Instructor for Porsche Club of America's Coastal Empire Region. I really enjoy helping others reaching their goals on and off the track. I love wrenching on cars as much as driving them.
